Quilters Quest is the sole distributor for SewEzi in the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Pricing & VAT
All prices on our website are displayed in GBP (£) and are inclusive of UK VAT at 20%.
For EU customers, as a Northern Ireland-based business operating under the Windsor Framework, we apply UK VAT rules to the sale of goods. We currently charge UK VAT at 20% on all orders from individual customers. This applies while our total annual cross-border EU sales to individual customers remain below the EU-wide distance selling threshold of €10,000 — a single combined threshold across all EU countries, not per country.
Once our total EU sales to individual customers exceed this threshold, we will be required to register for the EU One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme. At that point, VAT will be charged at the rate applicable in your country of residence rather than the UK rate, and this will be clearly shown on your invoice. We will update this page when that change takes effect.

If you are based outside the UK and EU VAT area — such as the Channel Islands, Norway, Switzerland, or the Canary Islands — please contact us before ordering as different VAT treatment may apply.
European Orders
Quilters Quest is the exclusive UK, Ireland and European distributor for SewEzi ergonomic sewing tables. We welcome orders from customers across Europe.
If you are placing an order from outside the UK, please contact us before ordering rather than purchasing directly through the website. We will confirm a quote based on your exact delivery address and the items you'd like to order. We will then send you an invoice in the appropriate currency for your region — for example, Euros for EU customers. Payment can be made by bank transfer (SWIFT/SEPA) or by card via a secure Stripe payment link.
Sewing Machine Models & Inserts
The sewing machine make and model must be included when ordering SewEzi Portable, SewEzi Grande and SewEzi Overlocker tables — this allows us to include the correct insert and/or spacer sets. We also need:
- Your full delivery address including Postcode or Eircode
- A contact telephone number and email address
We do not share these details with anyone other than the courier company used to deliver your order.
In the unlikely event that we do not have an insert available for your sewing machine, we will liaise with you and get one produced as quickly as we can. In the very unlikely event that your machine is too big for a SewEzi table, we will issue a full refund of your order. If you are unsure about your machine, please contact us with your machine details and we will let you know.
Please also note:
- You may need a Quick-Change Set and an additional insert if you are ordering a table for more than one machine
- The Portable table needs the Large Machine Brace for machines weighing more than 13kgs (29lbs) — we will get in touch if you have not included one but your machine needs it
- All Bernina 7 series must have the Brace Bar in place to strengthen the Portable Table (this is not necessary for a SewEzi Grande)
Payment
Quilters Quest accepts payment online, in person, or by telephone. We do not collect or store any personal data in relation to credit or debit cards. For full details of how we collect, store and use your personal data, please see our Privacy Policy. We use Stripe, Inc. to safely conduct online payment transactions. We accept all major credit and debit cards including American Express through Stripe, Inc.

Availability & Lead Times
SewEzi tables and accessories are normally held in stock and ready to dispatch. In the unlikely event that an item is out of stock or subject to a longer lead time, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know and give you an estimated dispatch date. You will always have the option to wait or to cancel your order for a full refund.
Delivery — UK & Ireland
After an order is placed, we will confirm a delivery day with you. If we do not hear back from you, we will proceed with the delivery, and you can re-arrange it with the courier if needs be.
- SewEzi Tables are delivered via DPD or DHL, Monday to Friday only
- We aim to deliver anywhere in Ireland and the UK mainland within 5 working days
- SewEzi Accessories may be sent with Royal Mail, DPD or DHL
- DPD or DHL should get in touch to confirm your delivery
Delivery is free within UK Mainland and the island of Ireland. Delivery to remote locations, offshore islands and other regions may be subject to a surcharge and may take longer. We will check and give you a quote before proceeding for the following areas:
- Channel Islands (Guernsey and Jersey)
- Outer Hebrides
- Isle of Man
- Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye
- Orkney Isles
- Shetland Islands
- Firth of Clyde Islands
- Region Argyll and Bute with Loch Lomond and Inner Hebrides
- Isle of Wight
- Isles of Scilly

Delivery — Europe
We ship to European destinations via DHL or DPD. Shipping costs will be confirmed at the time of ordering — please contact us at
Estimated delivery to European destinations is typically 5–10 working days from dispatch, subject to customs clearance. Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed and delays due to customs processing are outside our control.
Customs & Import Duties - European Orders
Where UK VAT has been correctly charged on your order, you should not be liable for additional import VAT in your country. However, your order may still be subject to customs inspection on arrival. Any applicable customs handling fees levied by your local authority are the responsibility of the customer. Quilters Quest has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. We recommend checking with your local customs authority if you are unsure.
This section applies to European destinations only. Goods delivered within the island of Ireland are not subject to customs charges or import duties.
Delivery Timeframes & Delays
Delivery dates and times are not guaranteed. During busy periods there can be delays due to the volume of items being sent — please allow an extra day or two and check your tracking. For DPD deliveries you must go to www.dpd.ie for your tracking details to work.
Quilters Quest cannot compensate for additional expenses, purchases or loss of income due to the delay or non-delivery of an item.
Loss or Damage Claims
Compensation claims for loss or damage must be made within 7 days to Quilters Quest. To make a claim:
- Contact us within 7 days of your item(s) delivery date and we will make the claim on your behalf with the courier
- Do not send your claim directly to the courier as it will be refused
- Please email or WhatsApp pictures of any damage if possible, including the packaging
Approved claims must be accepted by you within 7 days
Claims after 7 days cannot be processed. When a claim has been paid out, Quilters Quest is no longer liable for the loss or damage associated with the delivery.
Returns & Refunds — UK & Ireland
You have the right to cancel your order for a limited time even if the goods aren't faulty, and a refund will be offered. You have the right to cancel at any time from the moment you place your online order, and up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods.
To cancel, notify Quilters Quest by email or telephone within this time period. You then have a further 14 days from the date you notify us to return the goods.
Please note:
- You must cover the cost of returning unwanted goods
- We recommend getting proof of postage
- We will refund the original delivery cost of getting the goods to you
- Your refund will be paid within 14 calendar days of us receiving the returned goods, or evidence that they were returned
- A deduction may be made if the value of goods has been reduced by handling beyond what would be reasonable in a shop
If the goods are faulty, we will offer a replacement or a full refund.
Returns — European Orders
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods. To cancel, please notify us by email at
Please note the following for returns from European destinations:
- You are responsible for the cost of returning goods to us in Northern Ireland, including any export and import documentation required
- Goods must be returned in their original condition and packaging
- We strongly recommend obtaining proof of postage and using a tracked service, as we cannot process a refund for goods not received back
- Your refund will be issued within 14 calendar days of receiving the returned goods
- We cannot be held liable for any customs charges, handling fees or taxes incurred on the original order or the return shipment
If goods arrive damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days with photographic evidence including the packaging, and we will resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
